Some of the most meaningful photographs are the moments you never saw happening. Your niece running around, your cousins laughing together, Grandpa with his youngest grandchild, guests enjoying cocktail hour, the landscape surrounding your venue, the laughter, the joy, all of it! I capture your day in its entirety, as authentically as possible

FAQ

What's your editing style?

For weddings and portrait sessions, I prefer focusing on natural skin tones and cooler greens. essentially leaning into traditional film imagery. Feel free to see some of my work and take a look at the way I edit my greens & skin tones and see if that aligns with your vision! Most people that are drawn to my work specifically mention loving the editing style above all else.

Please keep in mind that I do not typically photoshop your body, since I believe every person is beautiful and wonderfully made. I do remove minor skin blemishes in portraits, as well as minor distractions in the image itself (outlets, signs, etc). If you do have a preference, just let me know before the shoot so I can work around posing you in ways that you'll love!

How many photos will we receive from our session?

Photos will vary from session type to session type, but I try to include every detail that is essential to your story! More information is provided when booking a session.

You can expect a minimum of 70 images for a typical portrait session. Wedding galleries will vary depending on the package booked.

What is the best way to contact you?

The best way to reach me would be by completing the "contact" form on this website. I look forward to getting in touch with you! Please allow 24 hours for a response, aside from weekends (Sat + Sun) where I will respond at the start of the week.

Do you travel?

Yes!
Travel is complimentary within 40 miles of my home base. For locations beyond that, travel is quoted on a custom basis and may include mileage, accommodations for locations 3+ hours away, airfare, transportation, parking, or other necessary expenses depending on the location and logistics involved.

Once I know where your session or wedding will take place, I'll provide a clear, personalized travel quote.

Outfits, Inspiration, and other details

Many of my couples are drawn to images they've seen throughout my portfolio, but it's important to remember that location plays a significant role in the overall look and feel of your photographs.
If you're not sure where to begin, I typically ask couples to share a vision board and then recommend locations that best complement the aesthetic they're hoping to achieve!

When choosing outfits, consider the feeling you want your images to convey. For a whimsical look, I recommend flowing dresses, natural fabrics, lighter colors, and clothing that allows you to move comfortably. For a more classic and refined feel try focusing on tailored pieces, evening wear, darker tones, and clean lines.

A little preparation goes a long way when it comes to photographs. I recommend steaming or ironing your clothing before your session, as wrinkles can be surprisingly noticeable in images and are often difficult to remove naturally in post-processing. If you're traveling some distance to your session location, consider bringing outfits on hangers to ensure everything looks its best prior to your shoot.

What happens after we Inquire with you?

Once you’ve reviewed the price guide, we schedule a virtual consultation to talk through your wedding day.

This conversation allows me to understand the wedding day vision you’re creating. We'll talk about the venue, the pace of your day, the details that matter to you, and what you hope to look back on in your wedding day photos. This changes from couple to couple, so I love to hear more about it!

This is a great time to tell me about how you met, what the proposal was like (one my my favorite things to hear), what you both value, if there are any religious or otherwise important aspects in your day, and how you envision everyone experiencing the wedding. This gives me a better understanding of your overall story!

Lastly, I will also talk about how I personally approach a wedding from start to finish. I work with film and digital mediums, so we will discuss what you feel is the right mix for you. I discuss my approach to posing and how I guide you throughout the day. We'll also discuss timing, light, portrait expectations, and other details that you feel deserve some extra attention!

Hopefully, by the end of our meeting, you will have a clear understanding of how your wedding will be documented and whether the experience feels aligned to your vision!

If it does, I will prepare the contract, quote and we can get started on reserving your date.

What is the turnaround time for photos?

The turnaround for sessions is typically between 1-2 weeks for portrait sessions.
Weddings are typically 8-10 weeks depending on the season!

I absolutely love to send out sneak peeks a few days after the shoot so that you can get a glimpse into the editing style and get excited for the final gallery!

Please reach out to me regarding specific time frames and expedited turnaround time! I will do my best to accommodate expedited requests, depending on the wedding season and my workload.

How will you deliver our photos?

Photos will be shared via a high resolution online gallery. You will be able to download them directly to your device!

Please note that online galleries are automatically removed after 6 months, so make sure to save those cherished memories as soon as you receive them!

How do we pay you?

A 40% nonrefundable retainer is due to book your date. The remainder of your payment will be due the week of your event. If you needed to split the second payment I would be happy to accommodate that, just let me know if advance!

The retainer is applied toward the total cost of your event, with the remaining balance due prior to your session date.

Cancellations or rescheduling

Your retainer is non-refundable and secures your session date exclusively for you on my calendar. Because I reserve that time specifically for you, I am often unable to accommodate other inquiries for the same date. If you need to reschedule, your retainer may be transferred to a new date one time, subject to availability. Further rescheduling may require a new retainer.

The retainer is applied toward the total cost of your session, with the remaining balance due prior to your session date.
